Could I use HTML Purifier on my website?

Could I use this great programme on my website and forums at http://www.codesupplier.com/ and http://www.codesupplier.com/apps/forums/ or not? Please tell me... Thanks.

that all depends on what you want to use it for.

I see you are getting a lot of spam, but that's not something HTMLPurifier will dispose of.

If you are posting content and allowing your users to post HTML in your site, then yes you could use Purifier to filter out unwanted and malicious HTML aswell as tidy up HTML to be standards compliant.

If however you don't allow HTML to be posted by users and only allow plaintext, then it wouldn't be advisable to use Purifier in that instance, instead there are better methods for protecting user input that is non-html.

but it all boils down to what you want to achieve by using it, once you know that, it's just a matter of making purifier work on your particular site, by the looks of it you will need to edit some of the core files of your site to integrate it.

Also note, HTML Purifier is licensed under LGPL, which means you are welcome to use it in proprietary works.
