How do I download/extract the SIG files?

How do I download/extract the SIG files?

I have a client who has a site based in PHP4 (and likely won't be switching any time soon, despite my recommendations).

I've read that older versions of HTML Purifier can be used on PHP4 (specifically the 2.x version), however they've all got SIG extensions, and I don't have any clue what to do about those - when I download the file, it gives me an extremely small (perhaps 50kb) SIG file.

What's the procedure to get this extracted and ready for deployment?

you need to download the zip or tar/gz files themselves.

the sig files are only signature files used to verify the files in the zips, kind of like a check that they haven't been maliciously tampered with or to verify that you have all the correct files, but is not actually required for htmlpurifier to function.

ie.

htmlpurifier-4.4.0.zip.sig htmlpurifier-4.4.0.zip htmlpurifier-4.4.0.tar.gz.sig htmlpurifier-4.4.0.tar.gz

the files you actually need are the ones that don't end in .sig

you can find all the release here > http://htmlpurifier.org/releases/

Every release before a certain point is only SIG files - I can't find 2.1.5.

For example, this is everything listed for 2.1.5:

htmlpurifier-2.1.5.zip.sig

htmlpurifier-2.1.5.tar.gz.sig

htmlpurifier-2.1.5-standalone.zip.sig

htmlpurifier-2.1.5-standalone.tar.gz.sig

htmlpurifier-2.1.5-lite.zip.sig

htmlpurifier-2.1.5-lite.tar.gz.sig

I think I probably lost the tarballs for the old releases at some point, and never got around to regenerating them. You're best bet is to grab an old version from the Git repository, which should have tags for all of the versions.

Thank you - I actually did do that just a few moments ago.

Thanks for the help.
